Grounded in Constant Surprises

Laptop prodigy Nicolas Jaar and multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington have joined forces as Darkside. They experiment with otherworldly sounds and recently performed songs from their debut album in their U.S. live radio debut on Morning Becomes Eclectic.

This August, Modeselektor and Apparat will combine forces once again as Moderat. Moderat actually formed in the early '00s, but it wasn't until 2009 that they released their debut album, Moderat, through a combination of "different opinions on how they should work" and commitments to their individual projects - Modeselektor, of course, also run two record labels, while Apparat averages an album every couple of years.
